They were born in Texas but moved to Canada in the winter of 2005 to a farm near Guelph. They now work with the Ontario Farm Animal Council (OFAC) to help promote responsible farm animal care and share their experiences with the public.

“I really like speaking to school children like myself”, Owen says. “Many of them don’t have a chance to see farms and how farmers care for their animals every day of the year.”

Oprah says, “I really enjoy the amount of people that come and talk to me at events. I love to talk and make new friends. It puts a smile on my face!”

Oprah and Owen went back to Texas for the winter of 2008-2009 to visit family and friends. They have now returned, refreshed and ready to get out and about in Ontario!
